The Academy
New England’s largest Catholic elementary school – with one-on-one instruction
through our small class sizes.
- 100% of our students receive a reduced tuition rate due to the generosity of our benefactors.
- Language: 88% of our students scored above the national mean.
- More than half of our students are accepted to exam high schools.
Our students are offered exciting and challenging curriculum based on high academic benchmarks across three campuses. With 65% of grade 6 students and 60% of grade 8 students accepted to their choice of exam school –catholic, independent or private, our programs, our teachers and our curriculum work.
Our trained and supportive teachers and small class sizes ensure students receive personal attention in every classroom. Our classrooms are designed to promote a welcoming, safe space for our students. The learning environment is enhanced by state- of- the- art school buildings which have all been renovated. The school campuses feature science labs, computers in every classroom, music, art, and media rooms, gymnasiums and cafeterias. We like to say it is their home away from home. The target class size across the three campuses is as follows:
- Preschool (Age 2.9): 10 students per class
- Pre-K (Age 3): 15 students per class
- KI (Age 4): 20 students per class
- KII – Grade 8: 25 students per class
Teachers, using research-based best practices, engage students through lively discussion, problem-solving, and active participation. There is continuity in skill building insured through the use of sequential materials in Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. The well-planned curriculum is organized into units of study that promote reading, writing, and critical thinking across all subject areas. Lessons are led by Massachusetts Frameworks, Common Core and National Science and Math standards that are consistent across all grade levels from Preschool (Age 2.9) to Grade 8.
